 A little about how the handmade soaps started and myself. As a beauty therapist (for over 35 years) and salon owner I am always on the lookout for something special, new and exciting of which making soaps has been one for a long time.  During the pandemic I found out how harsh most soaps were. I was on a mission to find some really gentle, natural soaps. After hours of research and trying out lots of different soaps I had no luck , so the next thing was to get myself on a really good soap course, and  then getting all my  soap recipes assessed and accredited by the registering authorities.

This entailed obtaining a Cosmetic Safety Report and registration with the Cosmetic Products Notification Portal so you can rest assured my soaps are legally compliant.

Family, friends and good clients were given all of my soaps to try as long as they could give me honest feedback ,and I have a lot to thank them for as they must have got fed up trying them all out. Even the colours I use are from Clay, that’s why you will often see some little dark spots in my soaps. Not one soap will ever look the same as they are all handmade. I have also found out that special,  personalised  soaps for people or small businesses are popular. I hope you enjoy your soap as much as I enjoyed making it, Harriet.

 

A little about each hand made soap,These soaps can be also be made from Goats Milk. No soap will be the same and will be available from 20 grams to 100 grams. All soaps on sale at the Shop are 80 grammes or more:

 

Bergamot Soap or Bergamot Goats Milk Soap has a fresh, uplifting, relaxing and happy fragrance. The scent of the oil is basically citrus, fruity with a warm spicy floral quality.

 

Cedarwood Atlas Soap or Cedarwood Atlas Goats Milk Soap has a woody, balsamic aroma with a smoky undertone. It is said to have a calming, soothing effect on the mind and body.

 

Lavender Soap or Lavender Goats Milk Soap has a sweet, floral, but a crisp herbal scent with a balsamic undertone. It is relaxing and soothing.

 

Lime Soap or Lime Goats Milk Soap is  refreshing and zesty, clean, clear and sharp smelling.

 

May Chang Soap or May Chang Goats Milk Soap has a  sweet, fruity, intensely lemony aroma.

Orange 5 Fold Soap or Orange 5 Fold Goats Milk Soap  has  a crisp, rosy, uplifting, rich and harmonising scent .

 

Spearmint Soap or Spearmint Goats Milk Soap is  deliciously sweet, soft, fresh, refreshing, energising and has a   fragrantly minty aroma .

 

 "PHOTO SOAPS "can be ordered too: you can send me a photo which i transfer to special dissolvable paper and insert into the soap . This can be a friend, child, family, business logo, animal, place, building ,it's endless what can be done to make a very special soap.

I have made Hedgehog soaps for the local charity Hornbeamwood Hedgehog Sanctuary .
